The first time, Scotty beat Annie in a marathon. Annie blames this on Scotty “being from Arizona”, despite him being born and raised in Colorado. I did live in Phoenix for about 6 years.
Race Report: Rock N' Roll Arizona
A low-altitude (1,000 feet) race that has an incredibly flat feeling course, but it actually is one big up and down. A course that is so flat, you actually long for a hill or two to break up the race. Numerous spectators along the course had food, treats, and even beer.
