We run the worst marathon of all time, the Las Vegas Marathon. You quite literally run laps in parking lots, in old town Vegas, at night. Gross.
Take it from us, run the half marathon. By running the half you get the awesome experience of running up and down the strip but skip the pointless trips around empty parking lots.
Race Report: Rock N' Roll Las Vegas
The course is flat and at low altitude (2,000 feet). You run at night and therefore not too hot, dspite bein gin the desert.
However, this is easily the worst marathon course we have run.
The race begins by cruising down and up the strip and this portion is a lot of fun. After about mile six, the race curves around old town Vegas for what feels like an eternity. We spent hours circling parking lots.
Bottom line, I’d run the half-marathon and call it good.
