I ran the American Discovery Trail Marathon.
Poor Annie was as sick as a dog and couldn’t run. Her only words that morning were “I feel like I got hit by a bus”. She promptly rolled over and went back to sleep. Poor thing had to jump on a flight to Salt Lake City and then to Amsterdam later that day. What a trooper!
Race Report: American Discovery Trail Marathon
Palmer Lake to downtown Colorado Springs. I’ve made the drive a thousand times. It was so much more beautiful to run it.
This “trail” run is a mix of hardpack dirt and pavement. The course is mostly exposed but not too terribly hot. Just be sure to bring plenty of water.
It is a good run that gently rolls downhill, coasting you into old downtown Colorado Springs. Nothing too fancy but a good run for those of us in the front-range.
